Welcome to Lumiere Romford, our ultimate destination for an unforgettable cinema experience at The Mercury Mall in Romford. As the latest addition to Romford’s entertainment scene, Lumiere brings a fresh and modern approach to movie-going, while also celebrating the things we love from the past. Lumiere is one of the few cinemas in the UK that will be respecting the past as much as the present.
Lumiere is a unique community co-operative that will be under continual rebirth until 2028 - with new screens, new decor, new environments and places for community groups to gather. But we won't just be showing films, we have plans for live music, comedy, theatre, social clubs and other events.
A home for all film
Located in the heart of the town, Lumiere Romford replaces Premiere Cinemas, carrying forward a legacy of accessible, high-quality entertainment while elevating it with state-of-the-art projection, crystal-clear sound, and a hugely diverse selection of films; from the latest blockbusters to indie gems and family favourites.
Screens 1, 2, 3, and 4 - will offer the latest mainstream releases from superheroes to action stars, the year's biggest comedies, and family animations.
'The Discovery Screen' (Screen 5) - will specialise in independent films each and every day. Thanks to our Romford Film Festival connections, we will offer five indie movies each day that you will not find on release in any other UK cinema.
'The Silver Screen' (Screen 7) - where cinema of the past will be celebrated. Here you will enjoy curated seasons of films, mystery movie days, 'Touchstone Tuesdays' and a retro 'Saturday Morning Pictures' experience for young and old.
'The Odyssey Screen' (Screen 8) - here you can watch a mix of world cinema releases, concert films, and those arthouse films that usually never get screened in Romford.
At Lumiere Romford, we are more than just a cinema. We are a community hub dedicated to providing an exceptional viewing experience. Whether you’re here for a thrilling action-packed adventure, a heartfelt drama, or a family outing, our goal is to make every visit special.
Our vision is to build an inclusive and diverse cinema experience. So over time we will begin to add regular Parent & Baby screenings, 'relaxed' screenings for neurodiverse audiences, and a weekly morning of free films for the over-60s.
Pricing Information
Standard ticket prices at Lumiere are:
£6.99 per ticket (Adult/Child/Over 65).
£18 for a family of 3 or 4 (a saving of nearly £10 compared with buying 4 individual Standard tickets). Please note: family tickets are only currently available when booking in-person at the cinema.
However, if you become a Lumiere Member (£30 per year, and you only need to purchase 1 membership per family/couple) you can take advantage of the following reduced ticket prices:

Just £14 for a family of 4. Please note: family tickets are only currently available when booking in-person at the cinema.
Membership will also entitle you to 10% off drinks and snacks, and 25% off Events (such as film festival passes and tickets).
Plus, because we are a co-operative, not-for-profit organisation - if the cinema makes profit, this is returned to our members as credit on your account each May (starting May 2026).
